Commemorating seven decades of public health history in Yemen
The World Health Organization in Yemen
To commemorate seven decades of WHO's public health work in Yemen, a comprehensive campaign was developed through a meticulous creative process. Historical research served as the foundation, with archival documents and photographs carefully selected from WHO's records to trace key milestones—from early vaccination initiatives to capacity building of health workers. The narrative centered on the organization's constitutional principles, connecting past achievements with current health priorities.
For the Arabic adaptation, cultural localization was implemented, transforming technical terms into accessible language. The social media campaign featured engaging carousels and other visual content tailored to different audiences. The campaign aimed not only to commemorate history but to inspire renewed commitment to Yemen’s health future.
